Doctoral Division

The Doctoral division employs professionals who work with doctoral candidates through dissertation coaching and editing partnerships using a village concept.  The founding principal for Celebrate Inc. is Social Capital Theory.

What does “social capital” mean?
The central premise of social capital is that social networks have value. Social capital refers to the collective value of all “social networks” [who people know] and the inclinations that arise from these networks to do things for each other [“norms of reciprocity”] (Coleman, J. S., 1988).

Dr. Webb works as a social capitalist believing that:

  • The more the level of participation in voluntary associations, the greater the social capital.
  • The more the networking, the greater the social capital.
  • The more the mentoring and mutual support in an organization, the greater its’ social capital.
  • The greater the social capital, the higher the priority of the norm of equality.

The coaching philosophy at Celebrate Incorporated stems from the belief that coaching helps guide professional and personal development.  Mindfulness is used when working with doctoral candidates.  An operational definition of mindfulness is “A moment-to-moment awareness of one’s experience without judgment” (Davis & Hayes, 2011, p. 198).

“Dr. Webb is a certified coach through the International Coach Federation”

Coaching with Celebrate Incorporated helps doctoral candidates increase their level of  awareness of the dissertation process.  A continuing philosophy practiced at Celebrate Incorporated is that every person coached will become a better doctoral candidate!

Coaching word cloud

Coaching can be an enriching experience to the doctoral process.

“Dr. Webb was an integral part of my team during my dissertation. She provided valuable help in the composition and editing of my chapters. She supported me and pushed me too. Her suggestions and comments challenged me to think outside the box and I truly appreciated that. I would definitely recommend her as a dissertation coach for anyone needing a high caliber coach. – Phyllis Wilson”
